Trend Spotting: Summer in the City!

Hi Y’all, it’s time for another traveling blog! Last week I went to New York to meet with Simplicity, and while I was there I thought it best to do some good old fashion window and street spotting to see what’s hot for summer. The weather was fantastic, although it’s getting to be a bit ‘Hot Town, Summer in the City’ as the Lovin’ Spoonful would say. The most popular attire I saw during my visit was (drumroll please) sun dresses! No shock there a sun dress is the easiest way to look chic and stylish while be comfortable and cool. The range I saw was amazing! Solids, prints, strapless, spaghetti straps, one shoulder, ruffles, smocked, belted, short, long - you just can’t go wrong! The other item I noticed a lot while walking around was gladiator sandals of all types and colors! Super comfortable, and super cute - and available just about anywhere! The most popular colors I saw were black, indigo, pink, white, and khaki. Summer whites were everywhere in city which made me so happy! White is my go to summer color and it will keep you the coolest! Enjoy the few sneaky pictures I was able to take, and if you’re in the city this summer make sure to go by the SHAKE SHACK at Madison Sqaure Park for a cold treat on a hot summer night!
