Stripes and Dots Make the Look!
September 29, 2009
In the Fall 1965 issue of American Fabrics magazine, one of the new trend directions was “pattern scrambling” – mixing up checks, dots, plaids and stripes. Lowenstein (later Springs) offered their lightweight poplin combining dots and stripes in one length. A few weeks ago, we came across this very fabric – in the featured lime green, also hot pink and black. If anyone wants to revive the shift, we’ve got the perfect fabric!
The caption under the picture reads: “Blouson-shorts set in dots and stripes, and, right, shift in lime and white patterns, each made from one length of lightweight poplin by Lowenstein.”
