August 11, 2008
Representatives from Springs Creative Products Group, LLC announced today that the company has begun hosting its first visitors in their new Collaboratory and Design center, which opened in Rock Hill’s historic Cotton Factory in June. SCPG retail partners, local design students and area civic representatives were among Springs Creative Products Group’s first guests to meet at the new location.
Springs Creative Products Group’s 25,000-square-foot corporate Collaboratory and Design center houses the company’s Consumer Products Group which consists of retail fabrics, craft and finished products. The establishment of the “Springs Creative Products Group’s Design Center at the Cotton Factory” creates a unique and contemporary layout of space which supports the company’s work flow processes — from product development to product completion. The facility’s open floor plan includes the Historical Library of Textile Design, the largest private collection of more than 350,000 fabric swatches dating back to the 1800s.
“The Collaboratory and Design center is the perfect environment for Springs Creative Products Group’s in-house design team to meet with retail, industry and licensing partners, as well as design students, to develop the products and trends of tomorrow,” said Mike Boylan, president of Springs Creative Products Group’s Consumer Products. “Not only is this space conducive to collaborating and creating new ideas for our customers, it also allows us to introduce them to the industry’s top licensed product lines.”
