Project Runway, Season 9, Episode 7 Team Challenge

This week’s Project Runway challenge split the contestants into two groups – Team Chaos and Team Nuts and Bolts. The names should have been reversed though!

Team Chaos with Anya, Olivier, Vicktor, Anthony Ryan and Bryce got along very well. Their Rorschach test designs gave them a great theme to use and bring all of their designs together. I liked most of the designs in their collection and agreed that they deserved to win. I didn’t agree with Anya being the winner though! Olivier’s jacket or Vicktor’s dress seemed more like the winner to me rather than Anya’s dress.

As for Team Nuts and Bolts – Bert, Joshua, Laura, Kimberly and Becky – did not get along at all. Joshua was full of drama and completely went off on Bert at one point. If he had thrown that energy into the designs, maybe they would have done a better job! In the end, poor old Becky was excused from the show. She has been hanging in there and tried to fly under the radar most of the time. A comment was made that this is a design show – not a seamstress show. She was one of the nicer ones and people were pretty nasty to her. It would have been nice to her for her to make another show.
