Artist Profile – Susan Winget

Susan Winget lives on a farm outside of Charlotte, NC – not far from the Springs Creative headquarters. A graduate of UNC Chapel HIll, she first started selling her paintings to earn a bit of extra money while staying home with her children. Susan’s small beginning has certainly turned into a successful, thriving business! Not only does she sell her designs to be developed into fabric collections, but you’ll also find her designs on dinnerware, calendars, music boxes and more! On the farm, Susan is surrounded by her family which includes her husband, children, horses, pigs, dogs and cats! Her original studio was located on her farm, but once her staff and business increased, she moved to a larger studio.
Inspired by nature as well as her farm environment, her fabrics often feature earthtones and soft hues. Serene shores, one of my personal favorites, is a collection of seashore images. Lighthouses, seashells and seagulls remind me of my family’s many trips to the Outer Banks and to Maine. Susan also uses vivid colors in her fabrics for her whimsical designs featuring holiday and floral designs.
Venture the Highway is another unique fabric that would make a great quilt to remind you of your vacation memories!

Where can I find serene shores sandscript? I
am not a merchant, but I can’t find this fabric
anywhere.
