Firegard®

Firegard® is a line of open-flame barrier fabrics intended for use in the construction of mattresses. Unlike other flame retardant fabrics that use topically-applied chemicals to inhibit flames, Firegard® flame barriers are made using patented core spun yarn technology. We encase a highly heat-stable core with soft comfort fibers. This produces fabrics that drape, breathe and feel like conventional fabrics while providing a barrier to prevent the spread of flames to the combustible materials inside a mattress.
