Consumer Products Senior Account Manager
This position requires: Proven track record in sales, with emphasis on maintaining and growing existing accounts; opening new accounts; experience in developing and implementing written sales plans; demonstrated success via excellent planning, organizational aptitude, and communication skills; outstanding presentation and follow up skills; ability to promote and execute the collaborative selling process. This position is highly visible within Springs Creative and will a significant time commitment at our Rock Hill, SC offices. The position will require 50-60% travel.
Detailed Job Description:
Technical Knowledge Requirements:
- Senior Account Manager expected to have a working knowledge of textiles including but not limited to fabric construction and design. General knowledge of the overall retail selling environment and experience working with buyers and decision makers.
- Must possess skills to interpret customer design trends as well as general
market trends
- Must understand and demonstrate the ability to engage in collaboration with customers (Internal and external) on new and existing products.
Sales Experience:
- Verifiable experience in key account development, growth, management and
customer satisfaction
- Demonstrated success in building relationships at all levels of the organization. (Internal and external customers)
- Ability to develop and execute written sales plans with specific and measurable goals in sales, new account acquisition, customer satisfaction and personal development
- Ability to create, maintain and provide accurate forecasts for new and existing accounts
- Ability to develop and manage multiple accounts as well as present multiple product lines
- Expertise in prospecting and developing new business
General Skills:
- Independent thinker with initiative, creativity and the drive to succeed
- Must have the ability and desire to manage multiple accounts
- Strong account management skills
- Must possess outstanding listening skills and demonstrate ability to satisfy customer requirements while meeting profit and performance objectives of the company
- Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be fluent in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must be a team player and have the ability to work in various team environments
- Follow through on customer and company commitments without fail
Customer Base:
- Primary responsibility will be Jo-Ann Fabrics. Other national accounts will be added as they become available
- Will be assigned specific accounts to manage as well as develop.
Performance:
- This position requires 50 to 60% travel. Travel includes time with customers, presentations, store and market visits and trade show participation
- Successful collaboration with buyers and appropriate customer personnel
- Ensures any customer issues are properly and professionally communicated to the appropriate personnel
- Active participation in sales meeting and conference calls
- Prepare and present weekly summary of activities
- Keep detailed appointment calendar with travel and meetings scheduled out a minimum of two weeks.
